The Route

A short cruise, built for a big family

This is a round-trip, 4-night Bahamas itinerary on one of Royal Caribbean’s largest ships — plenty of room to spread out, plus a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island.

Do we need passports?

Technically, no — but it’s still a good idea. Because this cruise leaves from and returns to the same U.S. port (“closed-loop”), U.S. citizens can board with a certified birth certificate plus a government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license).

The catch: if something unexpected happens and you need to fly home from the Bahamas instead of sailing back, you’d need a passport to board that flight. If you already have one, bring it — it’s the simplest option.

What It Costs

Pricing & who counts as what

Cruise pricing works a little differently than a hotel room. The listed $932 per person covers cruise fare, taxes, fees, and port expenses, based on two people sharing a cabin.

First 2 guests

Pay the full adult fare per cabin — regardless of age, even for an infant.

Age 13+

Priced as an adult for any 3rd/4th guest in the cabin.

Kids Sail Free*

Age 12 & under

Often $0 cruise fare as the 3rd/4th guest when the promo is active. Taxes, port fees & gratuities still apply.

Final payment is due 75 days before a 1–4 night sailing. If we’re booking this trip, this is the date everyone’s payment needs to be in.

Eating Onboard

Nobody has to cook

All of this is included in the cruise fare — no upcharge:

  • Main Dining Room — sit-down, rotating menus, breakfast & dinner
  • Windjammer Marketplace — the big buffet, open all day
  • Solarium Bistro — lighter, Mediterranean-style buffet
  • Sorrento’s Pizza, Park Cafe, El Loco Fresh, Boardwalk Dog House, Cafe Promenade — casual, quick bites around the ship
  • Perfect Day at CocoCay — free beachside burgers, tacos, chicken sandwiches & salads at Chill Grill, Skipper’s Grill & the Snack Shacks

Tap water, regular coffee, iced tea & lemonade are free. Soda, specialty coffee, and alcohol cost extra unless you add a drink package.
